Overview

Former tutor for a standardized test company and a highly experienced educator currently accepting students for standardized test preparation. (Additional services such general homework help, ELL (ESL), college applications, grant or scholarship proposals, or job applications also available; contact me about your needs.)

I have worked with young people who have learning or physical challenges that impact their studies. Parents and students have rated my work very highly, and test results prove that my methods work.

Methods & Materials

I have used my experience as a tutor for an SAT preparation company combined with direct teaching and tutoring experiences with teenagers and college students. No two students are alike, and therefore, following a pat coursebook does not adequately serve individual needs.

I provide a study packet, practice questions, vocabulary cards, and on-site feedback sheets. These are all tailored to students' unique strengths and needs. Additionally, I provide at cost "The Official SAT Study Guide;" or you may wish to order it independently.

I customize sessions, materials, and practice assignments. As needed, I also print reference or feedback documents on-site.

Compatibility and Commitment

It is important to me that my clients (parents and students) and I share the same vision for success. Referrals account for most of my client base, but I am open to working with new individuals, institutions, and organizations.

Our initial meeting is free and provides an opportunity for the student, parent(s) and tutor to meet, interview, and agree upon a session schedule.

Rates

$75/hour. Reduced rate for pre-payment of session series
